Description For LLM Research Engineer

Sonar, the Home of Clean Code, is seeking a passionate LLM Research Engineer to join their Research & Development team. This role is integral to exploring and implementing ways to improve Sonar's products using Large Language Models (LLMs). The ideal candidate will guide Sonar into the new era of AI, exploring state-of-the-art LLMs and new feature ideas to elevate their products to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay current with LLM advancements for code and text in industry and academia
  • Experiment with various existing LLMs to test strengths and weaknesses
  • Discuss and qualify new innovation opportunities leveraging LLMs
  • Prototype and evaluate new AI-powered product features for developers

Required Skills:

  • University degree with proficiency in understanding academic papers
  • Good understanding of LLM architecture and building blocks
  • Hands-on experience using and deploying LLMs (locally and in cloud)
  • Solid programming skills for task automation and proof-of-concept code
  • Ability to design unbiased evaluation protocols using model evaluation metrics
  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art prompt tuning and engineering
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
