At Sonar, we're seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. You'll be part of a group of brilliant professionals working to help organizations build responsible, secure, high-quality code. Your role will involve designing and developing Cloud-based solutions, implementing massively scalable services, and automating systems operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and enhancing Cloud-based solutions with a focus on automation, security, scalability, and performance
- Working in sprints within a cross-functional team
- Performing and automating operational tasks with a DevOps mindset
- Delivering new features into production and creating proofs of concept
- Collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure solutions fit into the Sonar ecosystem
- Investigating and resolving issues and incidents
Technical requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud (ideally AWS) development and architecture
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services and best practices
- Strong DevOps mindset and understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with programming languages like Python, Java, C++, or C#
- Experience with scripting languages like Bash

Responsibilities For Senior Cloud Platform Engineer
- Create, enhance and operate Cloud-based solutions with automation, security, scalability, disaster recovery, costs and performance in mind
- Work in sprints in a cross-functional team
- Perform and automate operational tasks such as deployments with a DevOps mindset
- Deliver new features into production
- Create proofs of concept
- Document as-is and future state solutions
- Collaborate with SREs to enhance operational resilience, scalability, and observability
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure solutions fit into the Sonar ecosystem
- Document and share reusable building blocks
- Investigate alarms, issues, and incidents when escalated
- Own testability of the infrastructure
- Ensure that all services operate within a given region
- Participate in AWS Well-Architected Reviews and Trusted Advisor findings resolution
Requirements For Senior Cloud Platform Engineer
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud (ideally AWS) development and architecture
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including Cloudformation, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, Lambda, AWS ECS, SDKs, and best practices
- In-depth knowledge of AWS data/file storage services
- In-depth knowledge of AWS Networking
- Proven proficiency in Designing, Developing and maintaining cloud solutions
- Strong DevOps Mindset with knowledge of Software development life cycle
- Advanced understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code technology
- Experience with at least one programming language like Python, Java, C++, C# or similar
- Experience with scripting languages like Bash or similar
- Experience working in an agile environment
