Description For Engineering Operations Engineer - Cloud Releases (Contract)

Sonatus is a leader in providing technologies and software to global OEMs to build software-defined vehicles. We are looking for a highly motivated Engineering Operations Engineer to join our fast-growing team. As part of a cross-functional team responsible for the full software development life cycle, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and products, from conception to deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and enhance tools and processes to increase engineering productivity
  • Lead software release engineering processes for cloud applications
  • Assist in build and test pipeline development and maintenance
  • Develop tools for process automation using Python, bash, Ansible, or similar
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for fast and reliable application releases
  • Stay updated with latest cloud technologies and evaluate their applicability
  • Lead initiatives to improve cloud infrastructure efficiency, reliability, and scalability
  • Contribute to cloud operations policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Document changes, new tools & processes, and create dashboards and reports
  • Ensure continuous compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, etc.)
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in EngOps/DevOps/IT, networking, or cloud operations
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
  • Expertise in cloud infrastructure management and automation tools
  • Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools
  • Proficient with Git / GitHub and branching strategies
  • Strong coding skills in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages
  • Good knowledge of Linux / Unix system environment and administration
  • Understanding of Ethernet networking, file systems, storage, logging, and monitoring
  • Excellent problem-solving, technical, and analytical abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with ISO27001 and ISO9001
  • Familiarity with cloud cost management and optimization strategies
  • Experience with OSS vulnerability scanners
  • Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools/frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with x86-based workstations & servers
  • Verbal / written communication skills in Korean
