As a Customer Engineer (pre-sales) at Sourcegraph, you will have broad responsibility and growth potential in helping us take our pre-sales organization to the next level. Our customers are the world's leading technology organizations, giving you unique insight into how world-class organizations and developers build software at scale.
Within your first month, you'll learn about our products, value propositions, customers, team, and processes. You'll set up your own sandbox instance, build relationships with peers in Sales, Value Engineering, Post-sales Success, and Support teams, and get demo certified.
By three months, you'll be leading early-stage conversations with prospective customers, serving as an advocate for customers, and participating in Customer Engineer-led projects to mature our capabilities and increase our footprint.
At six months, you'll establish yourself as a thought leader and evangelist, using your insights to teach prospective customers new ways to get value from Sourcegraph. You'll also mentor, recruit, and train teammates, prospects, and new hires.
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Solution Architecture for a technical product. You should be well-versed in back-end infrastructure architecture, have experience with Enterprise software solutions, and be excited about the advent of generative AI. Strong technical skills, including coding ability in JavaScript, Python, Java, or Go, and experience with Docker and Kubernetes environments are required.
