Forward Deployed Engineer

Sourcegraph is revolutionizing software development by bringing AI-powered search and agents to enterprise teams. As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you'll report directly to the CEO and work with the world's leading software companies to implement and enhance code AI capabilities.

The role involves extensive customer interaction, requiring both strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities. You'll be responsible for leading customer engagements, building new capabilities, and improving existing features while working directly with sophisticated clients.

Within your first month, you'll master our tech stack, shadow experienced team members, and lead your first customer engagement. By six months, you'll be working with our largest customers, contributing to product development, and becoming a technical expert for complex integrations.

The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,500 to $225,000 based on experience level (IC1-IC5) and location zone, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. This position requires up to 80% travel (Monday-Thursday) for on-site customer engagements, based out of our San Francisco headquarters.
