Description For Support Engineer

Sourcegraph is revolutionizing software development by making code accessible to everyone through AI-powered enterprise solutions. As a Support Engineer (IC2) in our Technical Success organization, you'll be crucial in ensuring customer success and satisfaction. The role combines technical problem-solving with customer interaction, requiring expertise in Linux, Kubernetes, and various development tools.

You'll work with a product trusted by 70% of top software companies and major banks, helping developers become more efficient through AI-powered search and automation. The position offers the flexibility of remote work, with preferred hours in Central Standard Time (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST).

Your journey will begin with understanding our core products, Code Search and Cody, followed by hands-on experience troubleshooting customer issues. Within six months, you'll be identifying trends and suggesting improvements to enhance the customer experience. The role requires a blend of technical skills and customer service excellence, with opportunities to work with cutting-edge AI technology.

The company is well-funded ($225M) by prestigious investors like a16z and Sequoia, and serves industry leaders like Stripe, Tesla, and 1Password. We offer competitive compensation ($84,800 USD for Zone 2), equity, and comprehensive benefits, ensuring our team can focus on innovation rather than financial concerns.

This role is perfect for someone who combines technical aptitude with strong communication skills and a passion for problem-solving. You'll be part of a mission to transform how the world's most important companies build software, making a significant impact on the future of development.
