Responsibilities For Data Platform Engineer

  • Participate in architecture design, table definition, metric consistency, data modeling
  • Work with big data and analytics technologies
  • Provide governance of business-critical product data sets
  • Implement data pipeline components in AWS and Databricks
  • Implement data pipeline metrics to monitor performance
  • Optimize data processing and data access
  • Troubleshoot stability issues
  • Work with security team on data security measures
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy regulations

Requirements For Data Platform Engineer

Python
  • Solid understanding of big data processing environments (Spark, Databricks)
  • Experience with data processing using Spark and Python in production
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow and MWAA
  • Experience working in Cloud Computing ecosystem (AWS)
  • Familiarity with relational databases, big data tables, and DynamoDB
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to document and communicate application code
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) preferred
