SpaceX is seeking an Architectural Project Engineer for their Starbase Development team. As a member of this elite group, you'll be responsible for translating engineering, commercial, and residential requirements into executable plans. You'll manage and update campus maps, site plans, and individual building drawings as business needs evolve. Working with top-tier engineers and construction project managers, you'll design, build, and commission infrastructure for the world's largest rocket, Starship.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with stakeholders to design and build capital projects across the site
- Partnering with cross-departmental teams to define utility requirements
- Using architectural/engineering knowledge to expedite design and resolve construction conflicts
- Managing construction contracts and project control tasks
- Overseeing full lifecycle of projects, ensuring on-time and under-budget delivery
- Coordinating permit acquisition/closeout with Cameron County
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, or architecture
- 1+ years of experience creating architectural construction documents
- Experience in construction, project management, and tenant improvement
- Knowledge of various construction trades and engineering principles
- Strong communication skills and self-motivation
This position is based in Starbase, TX (Brownsville/South Padre Island Area) and requires on-site presence. The role may involve extended hours and weekend work when needed.
