Description For Avionics Systems Engineer (Crew Starship)

SpaceX is at the forefront of revolutionizing space travel with their ambitious goal of making humanity a multi-planetary species. As an Avionics Systems Engineer on the Crew Starship team, you'll be directly involved in developing the SpaceX Human Landing System, which will transport astronauts to the moon as part of NASA's Artemis program.

The role offers an exceptional opportunity to work on one of the most sophisticated and largest crewed vehicles ever flown in space. You'll be responsible for critical systems including communications, power, life support, and navigation that will ensure astronaut safety during lunar missions. This position combines hands-on technical work with system-level design and integration, requiring both deep technical expertise and broad engineering knowledge.

Working at SpaceX means joining a world-class team of motivated engineers who are pushing the boundaries of what's possible in space technology. The fast-paced environment demands creativity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. You'll be directly contributing to milestone deliverables for NASA while helping to develop technology that will make history.

The compensation package is competitive, starting from $100,000 to $135,000 depending on experience, with additional benefits including equity opportunities, comprehensive healthcare, and retirement plans. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical component design or system integration, and offers significant growth potential within one of the most innovative companies in the space industry.

This is an ideal position for an engineer who is passionate about spaceflight, enjoys hands-on technical work, and wants to be part of humanity's return to the moon and eventual journey to Mars. The role combines technical challenges with real-world impact, offering the rare opportunity to work on technology that will literally push the boundaries of human exploration.
