Responsibilities For Build Reliability Engineer (Starship)

  • Partner with design engineering and manufacturing teams for vehicle development and quality plans
  • Collaborate with production to define and introduce controls and automation
  • Contain and manage non-conforming products
  • Investigate failures in production, test, and flight
  • Determine Quality Management System requirements
  • Develop and implement Lean test and inspection processes
  • Confirm operational safety precautions
  • Perform measurement system analysis
  • Conduct regular build quality reviews

Requirements For Build Reliability Engineer (Starship)

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, materials engineering, manufacturing engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or engineering physics
  • 1+ years in manufacturing, quality, and/or design engineering role
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and offsite as needed
