Responsibilities For Chemical Process Engineer - Starship Launch Systems

  • Design build and operate systems that support critical rocket launches and testing
  • Perform thermofluid analysis and design tasks for gaseous and liquid fluid systems
  • Manage fabrication and installation of fluid systems and construction projects
  • Develop technologies for production of cryogenic rocket propellants
  • Design, build, and commission air separation, liquefaction, LNG production equipment
  • Perform balance of plant calculations for cryogenic systems
  • Manage interdisciplinary Engineering projects from concept through activation
  • Work closely with operational teams for system design and operation

Requirements For Chemical Process Engineer - Starship Launch Systems

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or aerospace engineering
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with fluid systems
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Ability to pass Air Force background check
  • Willing to travel up to 15% to other launch sites
  • Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
