Responsibilities For Design Engineer, Turbomachinery (Starship)

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team on turbomachinery and manufacturing engineering
  • Design, build, and test turbopumps for Starship's propulsion system
  • Perform structural analysis on components and assemblies
  • Develop and train teammates
  • Interface with production team to ensure designs are successfully implemented
  • Maintain positive attitude while facing technical and non-technical challenges

Requirements For Design Engineer, Turbomachinery (Starship)

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
  • 2+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and structural analysis
  • Professional experience with 3D CAD modeling, GD&T, manufacturing process
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Ability to work in hazardous conditions with PPE
  • Ability to perform hands-on work in all environments
