Description For Electrical Design Engineer, Starlink Ground Stations

SpaceX, a pioneering space technology company, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their Starlink Ground Stations team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on the world's largest satellite constellation, currently serving over 5 million users worldwide with high-speed internet.

The position involves designing and developing critical hardware components for Starlink's ground stations, which form the backbone of the world's largest satellite backhaul network. As an engineer in this role, you'll have comprehensive ownership of complex electrical hardware and system design, working at the intersection of multiple engineering disciplines including electrical, mechanical, thermal, software, and antenna engineering.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical engineering with experience in circuit design, electronic products, or hardware development. You'll be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from initial conception through production, including systems trades, component selection, schematic creation, PCB layout, and hardware verification.

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone passionate about space technology and satellite communications. You'll be working with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to SpaceX's mission of making humanity a multi-planetary species. The role offers competitive compensation ($100,000-$150,000) and comprehensive benefits, including equity opportunities and health coverage.

The position requires strong technical skills, particularly in analog control, discrete logic design, and programming. You'll be working with advanced technologies including FPGAs, multi-GHz Serdes, and RF transceivers. The role demands someone who can work autonomously, handle complex technical challenges, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Join SpaceX and be part of a team that's revolutionizing space technology and global internet connectivity. This role offers the perfect blend of challenging technical work, meaningful impact, and career growth opportunities in one of the most innovative companies in the space industry.
