Responsibilities For Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Engineer (Starshield)

  • Derive and define EMI/EMC/TEMPEST requirements from first principles and system-level requirements
  • Perform various EMI/EMC/TEMPEST analysis
  • Work with engineers to ensure designs meet EMI/EMC/TEMPEST requirements
  • Perform component and system-level EMI/EMC/TEMPEST testing and automate testing
  • Troubleshoot EMI/EMC/TEMPEST issues from system-level to board-level
  • Create documentation such as control plans, test plans, procedures, reports
  • Operate EMI/EMC/TEMPEST test equipment
  • Mentor trainees seeking TEMPEST certification
  • Drive improvement in operational efficiency for analysis and test processes

Requirements For Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Engineer (Starshield)

  • 1+ years of technical experience working with E3/EMI/EMC/TEMPEST design
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
