The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety, with the ability to develop and implement safety policies, conduct hazard assessments, and ensure compliance with various regulatory agencies.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, and other regulatory guidelines, collaborating on job hazard assessments, monitoring employee exposure to hazards, implementing machine guarding, and conducting safety inspections. The role also involves investigating accidents, developing safety contingency plans, and ensuring proper allocation of safety-related resources.
Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering with an emphasis on occupational health and safety, and at least 3 years of experience in environmental health and safety disciplines. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations, excellent organizational and communication skills, and familiarity with industrial hygiene programs are preferred.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience level.
