Description For Facilities Engineer, MEP (Starship Infrastructure)

SpaceX, the pioneering space exploration company founded with the vision of making humanity a multi-planetary species, is seeking a Facilities Engineer to join their Starship infrastructure team. This role is crucial in the development of next-generation vertical integration facilities that will support the increasing launch cadence of the Starship program.

The position offers an unique opportunity to directly contribute to SpaceX's mission of enabling human life on Mars by designing and implementing the ground infrastructure necessary for spacecraft assembly and maintenance. As a Facilities Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems design and implementation in high-rise facilities that will serve as the backbone of Starship production and refurbishment.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in engineering principles, particularly in MEP systems, combined with practical experience in construction project management. You'll work with cutting-edge technology and infrastructure, managing complex systems including HVAC, power distribution, and critical facility operations. The role demands someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and make quick decisions while maintaining attention to detail.

This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $95,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on experience level, along with comprehensive benefits including equity opportunities, health coverage, and retirement plans. The role requires hands-on involvement, including work in various environmental conditions and potential travel to different SpaceX facilities.

Working at SpaceX means being part of a team that's literally building the future of space exploration. You'll be involved in creating the infrastructure that will support humanity's journey to Mars, making this an unprecedented opportunity for someone passionate about both engineering and space exploration. The role combines technical expertise with project management skills, offering significant growth potential within one of the most innovative companies in the aerospace industry.
