Responsibilities For Fluid/Structural Engineer

  • Analyze, design, and build systems that support testing of fully integrated flight vehicles, rocket engines, and components
  • Drive cradle-to-grave ownership of engineering projects through design reviews and construction
  • Work directly with technicians to build designs and fix real-world problems
  • Maintain feedback loop with test operations team to meet testing deadlines
  • Operate and troubleshoot equipment to achieve testing objectives
  • Evaluate complex engineering needs and develop solutions
  • Take hands-on approach to emerging field projects

Requirements For Fluid/Structural Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, or electrical engineering
  • 1+ years of hands-on design or build experience
  • Strong understanding of fluid, structural, or mechanical systems
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Experience with high-pressure or cryogenic fluid systems
  • CAD proficiency (Siemens NX preferred)
  • ASME piping and pressure vessel design knowledge
  • Ability to work at heights up to 300 ft
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
