Responsibilities For Launch Engineer, Fluid Systems

  • Serve as the responsible engineer for launch site fluid systems including compressible, incompressible, and cryogenic fluid systems
  • Utilize knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, controls, and instrumentation for troubleshooting
  • Direct technician workforce for design, build, troubleshooting, maintenance activities
  • Contribute to functional automation development
  • Identify and implement upgrades to launch pad hardware, software, and procedures
  • Serve as lead engineer for site during design, construction, and activation
  • Present certification packages to government agencies including NASA and US Space Force

Requirements For Launch Engineer, Fluid Systems

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, physics, computer science, or other engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with fluid, mechanical, or low voltage electrical systems
  • Must be able to pass Air Force background check
  • Ability to work in high-stress environment
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Physical ability to lift 15-35 lbs
  • Ability to be flexible on shifts
