Responsibilities For Launch Engineer, Fluid Systems
- Serve as the responsible engineer for launch site fluid systems including compressible, incompressible, and cryogenic fluid systems
- Utilize knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, controls, and instrumentation for troubleshooting
- Direct technician workforce for design, build, troubleshooting, maintenance activities
- Contribute to functional automation development
- Identify and implement upgrades to launch pad hardware, software, and procedures
- Serve as lead engineer for site during design, construction, and activation
- Present certification packages to government agencies including NASA and US Space Force
Requirements For Launch Engineer, Fluid Systems
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, physics, computer science, or other engineering discipline
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with fluid, mechanical, or low voltage electrical systems
- Must be able to pass Air Force background check
- Ability to work in high-stress environment
- Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
- Physical ability to lift 15-35 lbs
- Ability to be flexible on shifts
