Description For Launch Engineer, Integration (Dragon)

SpaceX, the pioneering space exploration company founded with the vision of making humanity a multi-planetary species, is seeking a Launch Engineer for their Dragon Integration team. This role represents a unique opportunity to directly contribute to human spaceflight operations and the future of space exploration.

The position involves working with the Dragon spacecraft, SpaceX's revolutionary vehicle designed for both crew and cargo missions to low Earth orbit. As a Launch Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of spacecraft integration, managing critical pre-launch operations and post-recovery procedures. The role demands a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and hands-on experience with complex systems.

Your responsibilities will span from developing and executing integration procedures to managing day-to-day launch site activities. You'll work directly with flight hardware, conduct system checkouts, and handle hazardous operations as a test conductor. The position offers significant ownership and autonomy, allowing you to influence the development of procedures and tools that enhance vehicle processing and testing capabilities.

The ideal candidate should have a strong engineering background, with at least one year of relevant experience in hardware development or operations. You'll need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. The role requires physical presence at Cape Canaveral, working with hazardous materials and potentially long hours.

SpaceX offers a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary ranging from $95,000 to $130,000 depending on experience level, equity opportunities, and full healthcare coverage. This is more than just a job – it's an opportunity to be part of a team that's actively working to make human life multi-planetary. You'll be contributing to groundbreaking achievements in space technology while working alongside some of the industry's most talented engineers.

The position requires ITAR compliance, meaning candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or have appropriate authorization. SpaceX maintains a strong commitment to equality and diversity, ensuring all qualified candidates receive fair consideration regardless of background.
