Responsibilities For Launch Engineer (Starship)
- Analyze, design, and build systems that support critical rocket launches and testing
- Manage cradle-to-grave project ownership through design reviews and project implementation
- Design modular hardware for future launch sites worldwide
- Apply interdisciplinary engineering skills in system-level process design
- Work directly with technicians to build designs and solve real-world problems
- Maintain feedback loop with launch operations team
- Activate and troubleshoot equipment
- Independently evaluate and solve complex problems
- Hands-on approach to daily field projects
Requirements For Launch Engineer (Starship)
- Bachelor's degree in physics, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, aerospace engineering, or other engineering discipline
- 1+ years of hands-on build or design experience
- Strong fundamental intuition of fluid and mechanical systems
- Experience with high-pressure and cryogenic fluid systems
- CAD proficiency
- Ability to work in extreme outdoor environments
- Ability to work at elevated heights up to 300 feet
- Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
