Responsibilities For Launch Pad Engineer, Fluid Systems (Starship)

  • Analyze, design, and build systems that support critical rocket launches and testing
  • Manage cradle-to-grave project ownership through design reviews and project implementation
  • Design modular hardware for future launch sites worldwide
  • Apply interdisciplinary engineering skills in system design and analysis
  • Work directly with technicians to build designs and solve real-world problems
  • Maintain communication with launch operations team
  • Activate and troubleshoot equipment
  • Handle daily field projects for rocket launches

Requirements For Launch Pad Engineer, Fluid Systems (Starship)

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field
  • 1+ years of hands-on build or design experience
  • Ability to pass Air Force background check
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends
  • Ability to work in extreme outdoor environments
  • Physical capability to lift 25 lbs and work at heights up to 300 feet
  • Experience with high pressure and cryogenic fluid systems
  • CAD proficiency
  • Strong communication skills
