Responsibilities For Manufacturing Engineer, Tool & Die Machining (Starlink)

  • Develop machining capability in-house for the tool & die team
  • Analyze piece parts and assemblies for DFM
  • Create collaborative business plans with design engineering
  • Work between manufacturing and design engineers to ensure robust processes
  • Implement machining process controls
  • Identify, recommend, procure, and install machine shop equipment
  • Manage cost optimization and reduction initiatives
  • Develop and manage engineering capacity and schedules
  • Research new materials and manufacturing technologies
  • Inform estimations of prototype and production costs

Requirements For Manufacturing Engineer, Tool & Die Machining (Starlink)

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, materials engineering, or other engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of experience with CNC machining
  • Willingness to travel (~30% travel)
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Strong to expert level 3D CAD skills
  • Experience with Siemens NX
  • Experience with manufacturing processes
