Mechanical Engineer, Aviation Hardware (Starlink)

You'll own flight hardware from concept to operation, working closely with senior leadership during critical design phases. You'll be responsible for blank-slate design, qualification, test design, production, and in-flight success of hardware. Key responsibilities include:

• Owning hardware from conceptual design through production and operation for aircraft installations
• Developing design criteria and driving system-level optimization
• Performing analysis using hand calculations, FEA, and CAD in a dynamic environment
• Leading design reviews and working with FAA designees for component and system certification
• Generating detailed production drawings and performing tolerance stackup analysis
• Driving holistic Design for Manufacturability (DFM) with a focus on efficiency and quality
• Establishing an efficient product lifecycle and working on in-house production line design
• Conducting environmental and performance testing to validate designs
