Responsibilities For Mechanical Engineer, HVAC (Starship Infrastructure)

  • Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial facility mechanical & HVAC engineering projects
  • Perform calculations for HVAC & piping design
  • Drive coordination and design for local, state, and federal building permits
  • Manage mechanical aspects of construction projects including quality control and conflict resolution
  • Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors
  • Develop project requirements, schedule, and cost estimates
  • Own budget & schedule for work within multi-disciplinary team
  • Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field

Requirements For Mechanical Engineer, HVAC (Starship Infrastructure)

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of professional experience in design or build of mechanical, HVAC, or facility infrastructure
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted
  • Must be available to work extended hours occasionally
  • Willing to work in extreme outdoor environments
