SpaceX, a pioneering space exploration company, is seeking a MEP/Construction Engineer to join their Construction Projects Team in Austin. This role is crucial in developing infrastructure that supports SpaceX's ambitious mission of enabling human life on Mars. As a member of this team, you'll lead complex MEP systems projects, working with multiple disciplines to design, build, and activate critical infrastructure.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $95,000-$130,000, depending on experience and level. You'll be responsible for leading project teams, developing technical documentation, managing contracts, and ensuring successful project delivery. The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 3 years of MEP systems experience.

Responsibilities For MEP/Construction Engineer

  • Lead project team, consulting engineers and contractors throughout MEP engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning process
  • Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial projects
  • Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors
  • Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real-time
  • Coordinate with electrical utility provider for design/engineering
  • Interact with engineers, contractors, fabricators, and project stakeholders

Requirements For MEP/Construction Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of professional experience with MEP building systems design or build
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% to other SpaceX sites
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs unassisted
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
