SpaceX, a pioneering space technology company, is seeking an NPI Engineer for their Starlink project - the world's largest satellite constellation providing broadband internet to over 3 million users globally. This role combines hardware engineering with manufacturing expertise, focusing on PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) processes for the revolutionary Starlink system.

You'll be responsible for overseeing PCBA manufacturing, quality control, and process optimization, working directly with design engineers to bring new products to life.

You'll need a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least one year of relevant experience. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $100,000 to $135,000, depending on experience level, plus substantial benefits including equity options and comprehensive healthcare.

Responsibilities For NPI Engineer, PCBA (Starlink)
- Own and manage PCBA processes and PCBA products for in-house production
- Drive processes for volume production of PCBA including manufacturing execution, nonconforming product management, configuration management, traceability tracking, and process control
- Manage new product introduction of PCBA assemblies, working closely with design engineers, and process specialists
- Manage work instructions, process documentation, and training
- Track schedule, work-in-progress levels, and defect rates of owned products
- Identify trends and opportunities for optimizing product output, quality enhancements, and cost of manufacturability
- Drive corrective actions and process improvements on owned processes and products
Requirements For NPI Engineer, PCBA (Starlink)
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, software, industrial, electrical, or other engineering discipline
- 1+ years of professional experience in manufacturing process, SMT, accelerated testing, design for reliability, or PCB design and layout
- Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 25 lbs. unassisted
- Willing to work weekend and extended hours as needed
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
