Description For Operations Engineer

SpaceX, a pioneering space technology company, is seeking an Operations Engineer to join their Process and Material Planning team at the Rocket Development and Test facility in McGregor, TX. This role is crucial in supporting various programs including Falcon, Dragon, Raptor, Starship, and Ground Support Equipment.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of space exploration technology, where you'll apply engineering principles and data science skills to optimize operations across the facility. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining analytical tools, creating data visualizations, and driving process improvements that directly impact SpaceX's mission to enable human life on Mars.

As an Operations Engineer, you'll work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with cross-functional teams across SpaceX's facilities. The role requires a unique blend of technical expertise in data analysis (using SQL, Python, and Excel) and practical operations experience. You'll be involved in everything from supply chain optimization to fabrication processes, making this an ideal position for someone who enjoys both technical analysis and hands-on operational work.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $95,000 to $130,000 depending on experience level, and includes attractive benefits such as stock options, comprehensive healthcare, and retirement plans. This is an in-person role that requires being onsite in McGregor, TX, with some travel requirements (5-10%).

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a scientific discipline, along with experience in production, manufacturing, or supply chain roles. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have strong analytical skills, and be passionate about contributing to SpaceX's mission of making humanity a multi-planetary species.

This role offers the unique opportunity to be part of a team that's literally reaching for the stars, making it perfect for someone who wants to combine their technical skills with their interest in space exploration and manufacturing operations.
