Responsibilities For Operations Engineer, Range Safety (Starship)
- Support development of tool and techniques for range and launch operations
- Lead interdepartmental coordination with external entities for regulatory requirements
- Validate and verify range requirements for launching from a federal range
- Provide program management on contract agreements with government agencies
- Implement safety policies for flight hardware processing flows
- Find solutions for launch enablement through spectrum, airspace, GPS coordination
- Advise on best practices and strategy to eliminate conflicts with partners
- Own all aspects of SpaceX launches requiring external partner coordination
Requirements For Operations Engineer, Range Safety (Starship)
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 2+ years of professional experience with aerospace systems or operations engineering
- Ability to work at elevated heights and tight spaces
- Must be willing to travel for extended periods
- Must be available to work extended hours, nights and weekends
- Ability to pass Air Force background check
- Must meet ITAR requirements (US citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
