Responsibilities For Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering (Plastic Injection Molding)

  • Develop and qualify injection molding processes through decoupled scientific molding and mold flow simulations
  • Lead design of experiments (DOE) to establish stable and robust processes
  • Develop detailed training manuals and train production staff
  • Establish work instructions for day to day operations
  • Audit manufacturing process for inefficiencies and safety improvements
  • Design, fabricate, and integrate tooling
  • Determine requirements for product conformance and lot traceability
  • Manage supply chain of raw materials
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot technical equipment
  • Monitor process parameters and peripherals
  • Create and manage die spare parts lists and PM system

Requirements For Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering (Plastic Injection Molding)

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, materials engineering or other engineering discipline
  • 1+ years injection molding experience in a production environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted
  • Willingness to work long hours and weekends as necessary
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee due to ITAR requirements
