Responsibilities For Process Engineer, Plastic Injection Molding (Starlink)

  • Develop and qualify injection molding processes through decoupled scientific molding and mold flow simulations
  • Lead design of experiments (DOE) to establish stable and robust processes
  • Develop detailed training manuals and train production staff
  • Establish work instructions for day-to-day operations
  • Audit manufacturing process and assess inefficiencies
  • Design, fabricate, and integrate tooling
  • Manage supply chain of raw materials
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot technical equipment
  • Monitor process parameters and peripherals
  • Create and manage die spare parts lists and PM system

Requirements For Process Engineer, Plastic Injection Molding (Starlink)

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, materials engineering, or other engineering discipline
  • 2+ years injection molding experience in production environment
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Able to travel up to 70% initially and 10% ongoing
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
  • Willing to work long hours and weekends as needed
