Responsibilities For Process Engineer, Plastic Injection Molding (Starlink)
- Develop and qualify injection molding processes through decoupled scientific molding and mold flow simulations
- Lead design of experiments (DOE) to establish stable and robust processes
- Develop detailed training manuals and train production staff
- Establish work instructions for day-to-day operations
- Audit manufacturing process and assess inefficiencies
- Design, fabricate, and integrate tooling
- Manage supply chain of raw materials
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot technical equipment
- Monitor process parameters and peripherals
- Create and manage die spare parts lists and PM system
Requirements For Process Engineer, Plastic Injection Molding (Starlink)
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, materials engineering, or other engineering discipline
- 2+ years injection molding experience in production environment
- Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
- Able to travel up to 70% initially and 10% ongoing
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
- Willing to work long hours and weekends as needed
