Description For Production Development Engineer (Starlink)

SpaceX, a pioneering space technology company, is revolutionizing space exploration with the ambitious goal of enabling human life on Mars. As part of their groundbreaking Starlink initiative, they're seeking a Production Development Engineer to play a crucial role in their mission to provide global internet coverage.

This position offers an exceptional opportunity to work on one of SpaceX's most ambitious projects - the Starlink network. The role focuses on designing processes and systems for a factory that will produce millions of user terminals, which are essential components for consumers to access the Starlink network. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of developing manufacturing solutions that directly impact the project's success through quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and security.

The role combines engineering expertise with production management, requiring skills in factory design, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll be responsible for developing both physical and digital aspects of the production facility, managing project schedules and budgets, and implementing sophisticated data acquisition systems. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge technology and the opportunity to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.

Working at SpaceX comes with comprehensive benefits, including competitive salary ranges from $95,000 to $130,000 based on experience, equity opportunities, and full healthcare coverage. The company culture emphasizes innovation, problem-solving, and direct impact on the future of space technology. While the position demands dedication, including occasional extended hours and travel, it offers the unique opportunity to contribute to a project that will revolutionize global internet connectivity.

The ideal candidate will bring a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least one year of relevant experience. They should be passionate about manufacturing excellence, comfortable with data analysis, and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on challenges, values innovation, and wants to be part of a team that's literally reaching for the stars.
