Responsibilities For Propulsion Design Engineer, Engine Systems (Raptor)

  • Own portions of Raptor engine hardware and engine to vehicle interfaces
  • Manage design and development of engine modifications
  • Design and release Raptor engine parts, assemblies, and vehicle integration hardware
  • Generate detailed production drawings with GD&T
  • Perform preliminary structural analysis using ANSYS
  • Ensure systems-level functionality and compatibility
  • Interface with manufacturing, development, and test teams
  • Investigate and resolve hardware issues
  • Document and maintain CAD models and engineering documentation
  • Participate in design reviews
  • Support testing and production

Requirements For Propulsion Design Engineer, Engine Systems (Raptor)

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of experience working with fluid systems/structural design
  • 2+ years of experience using CAD
  • Experience with NX, Teamcenter, and ANSYS
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Willingness to travel for launching and testing
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
