Responsibilities For Propulsion Design Engineer, Engine Systems (Raptor)
- Own portions of Raptor engine hardware and engine to vehicle interfaces
- Manage design and development of engine modifications
- Design and release Raptor engine parts, assemblies, and vehicle integration hardware
- Generate detailed production drawings with GD&T
- Perform preliminary structural analysis using ANSYS
- Ensure systems-level functionality and compatibility
- Interface with manufacturing, development, and test teams
- Investigate and resolve hardware issues
- Document and maintain CAD models and engineering documentation
- Participate in design reviews
- Support testing and production
Requirements For Propulsion Design Engineer, Engine Systems (Raptor)
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 1+ years of experience working with fluid systems/structural design
- 2+ years of experience using CAD
- Experience with NX, Teamcenter, and ANSYS
- Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Willingness to travel for launching and testing
- Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
