Responsibilities For Propulsion Engineer, Additive (Raptor)

  • Drive and identify projects to make printer platforms more robust and repeatable
  • Design, develop, and test additive processes using powder-bed and powder-fed approaches
  • Implement process improvements on every step of the additive process
  • Collaborate with design team to optimize features for additive manufacturing
  • Generate and optimize build files for high quality parts production
  • Work with materials engineers on print parameters and heat treatments
  • Develop and maintain process data collection systems
  • Develop and document best practices
  • Implement safety improvements in manufacturing process

Requirements For Propulsion Engineer, Additive (Raptor)

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of professional hands-on fabrication experience
  • Experience with additive machines and parameter development
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing techniques
  • Understanding of optics and lasers
  • Knowledge of aerospace design specifications
  • Proficiency in engineering fundamentals
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
