Description For Propulsion Engineer, Chamber and Nozzle Manufacturing (Raptor)

SpaceX, a pioneering space technology company, is seeking a Propulsion Engineer for their Raptor engine program. This role focuses on developing and optimizing production processes for critical engine components, specifically the chamber and nozzle assemblies. The position offers a unique opportunity to work on next-generation rocket engines designed to enable human Mars exploration.

The role combines hands-on engineering with strategic process improvement, requiring expertise in manufacturing techniques like machining, brazing, and welding. You'll work directly with hardware on the production floor, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

This position is ideal for engineers passionate about space exploration and manufacturing excellence. You'll be responsible for maintaining production quality while driving continuous improvement in processes and designs. The role offers competitive compensation ($95,000-$130,000 based on level) plus comprehensive benefits including equity opportunities.

Working at SpaceX means joining a mission-driven team focused on making humanity multi-planetary. The position requires physical stamina, flexibility in working hours, and occasional travel for launch support. The company culture emphasizes innovation, rapid iteration, and hands-on problem-solving.

This is an exceptional opportunity for engineers who want to contribute directly to advancing space technology while working with cutting-edge rocket propulsion systems. The role offers both technical challenges and leadership opportunities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
