Responsibilities For Propulsion Engineer (M1D Refurbishment)
- Develop integration, manufacturing, and test processes for flown Merlin engines
- Own critical flight hardware, systems, and processes
- Implement and maintain hardware verification and validation processes
- Work with cross-functional teams to process flown M1D hardware
- Troubleshoot ground and flight operational issues
- Manage engine fleet configuration
- Support engine test and flight operations
- Perform detailed post-operation data review
Requirements For Propulsion Engineer (M1D Refurbishment)
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 1+ years of hardware experience in fabrication, assembly, and/or testing
- Ability to work in an integrated collaborative team environment
- Experience with manufacturing techniques and processes
- Software/coding experience with Python, SQL, or PowerBI
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
- Occasional travel to SpaceX launch and test sites
