Responsibilities For Propulsion Engineer (M1D Refurbishment)

  • Develop integration, manufacturing, and test processes for flown Merlin engines
  • Own critical flight hardware, systems, and processes
  • Implement and maintain hardware verification and validation processes
  • Work with cross-functional teams to process flown M1D hardware
  • Troubleshoot ground and flight operational issues
  • Manage engine fleet configuration
  • Support engine test and flight operations
  • Perform detailed post-operation data review

Requirements For Propulsion Engineer (M1D Refurbishment)

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of hardware experience in fabrication, assembly, and/or testing
  • Ability to work in an integrated collaborative team environment
  • Experience with manufacturing techniques and processes
  • Software/coding experience with Python, SQL, or PowerBI
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Occasional travel to SpaceX launch and test sites
