Description For Propulsion Engineer, Raptor Integration

SpaceX is seeking a Propulsion Engineer to join their Raptor Fleet Operations team, focusing on maintaining and developing processes for their fleet of Raptor Engines. Responsibilities For Propulsion Engineer, Raptor Integration

  • Lead troubleshooting and diagnostic efforts of engine issues in the field
  • Support integration and testing of R&D hardware
  • Manage changes and upgrades to a large fleet of engines
  • Develop standards and processes to increase reliability and decrease process time
  • Author work instructions for engine work
  • Interface with design, build, and systems engineering teams
  • Contribute to Raptor production line development

Requirements For Propulsion Engineer, Raptor Integration

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or physics
  • 1+ years of hands-on engineering experience
  • Systems engineering experience
  • Experience with electrical and fluid schematics
  • Experience with propulsion and electrical systems
  • Ability to work at elevated heights up to 300 feet
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Available for extended hours and weekends
  • Willing to travel up to 20%
