Description For RF Silicon Software Engineer (Starlink)

SpaceX, a pioneering space technology company, is seeking an RF Silicon Software Engineer to join their Starlink team. This role sits at the intersection of electrical engineering and software development, focusing on bringing new silicon to life for the world's largest satellite constellation.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that's actively providing high-speed internet to millions of users worldwide. As part of the RFIC team, you'll have "extreme ownership" of the silicon life-cycle, from system requirements through to on-orbit telemetry monitoring. The role involves creating first-generation measurement systems, working with RF/RFIC designs, and developing both hardware and software solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with RF measurements, automation software, hardware development, and embedded firmware. You'll be working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment where you'll be among the first to power on new chips and create the tools that will support future RF/RFIC designs.

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone passionate about space technology and complex engineering challenges. You'll be contributing directly to SpaceX's mission of making humanity a multi-planetary species while working with state-of-the-art technology and brilliant colleagues. The role offers competitive compensation ($120,000-$170,000 based on level) and comprehensive benefits including equity, medical coverage, and 401(k).

The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least one year of software development experience. Due to ITAR requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, refugees, or asylees. The role may require extended hours and weekend work to meet critical milestones, reflecting the ambitious nature of SpaceX's mission.
