Description For RF/Microwave Engineer II (Starlink)

SpaceX, a pioneering space technology company, is seeking an RF/Microwave Engineer II to join their Starlink team in Redmond, WA. This role is crucial in developing the world's most advanced broadband internet system through satellite technology. As part of the Satellite Payload Engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing RF devices that power satellites and ground antennas, from power amplifiers to waveguide components.

Responsibilities For RF/Microwave Engineer II (Starlink)

  • Simulate and model communication systems
  • Work with system architects, RF engineers, antenna engineers, modem/DSP, and ASIC engineers
  • Assess feasibility of various designs in support of architectural definition
  • Deriving top-level specifications for RF links and RF and antenna subsystems
  • Characterize and analyze system performance
  • Provide technical support to regulatory, coordination, and market access teams

Requirements For RF/Microwave Engineer II (Starlink)

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics or other engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of research and/or industry experience in RF/microwave circuit design
  • 1+ years of experience using 3D EM simulation tools
  • Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission critical deadlines
