The position sits within the Satellite Payload Engineering team, where you'll be responsible for developing RF devices that power satellites and ground antennas. This includes everything from power amplifiers to waveguide components, reflectors, and antennae. Responsibilities For RF/Microwave Engineer (Starlink)

  • Simulate and model communication systems
  • Work with system architects, RF engineers, antenna engineers, modem/DSP, and ASIC engineers
  • Assess feasibility of various designs in support of architectural definition
  • Derive top-level specifications for RF links and RF and antenna subsystems
  • Characterize and analyze system performance
  • Provide technical support to regulatory, coordination, and market access teams

Requirements For RF/Microwave Engineer (Starlink)

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics or other engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of research and/or industry experience in RF/microwave circuit design
  • 1+ years of experience using 3D EM simulation tools
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed
