Description For Satellite Operations and Reliability Engineer (Starlink)

SpaceX is revolutionizing space technology with the ambitious goal of enabling human life on Mars. As part of this mission, they've created Starlink, the world's largest satellite constellation providing high-speed internet to over 4 million users globally. This role sits at the critical intersection of electrical, mechanical, and software engineering, where you'll be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of thousands of satellites in low-Earth orbit.

As a Satellite Operations and Reliability Engineer, you'll be directly involved in maintaining and optimizing the world's largest satellite network. The position requires a unique blend of hardware expertise and software development skills, particularly in Python and SQL. You'll be responsible for monitoring satellite performance, developing automation tools, and working with cross-functional teams to improve the reliability and efficiency of the entire constellation.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge space technology while making a tangible impact on global internet connectivity. You'll be part of a team that's pushing the boundaries of what's possible in satellite communications, working with some of the industry's best engineers across various disciplines.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $100,000 to $135,000 annually, depending on experience level. SpaceX offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), equity opportunities, and generous paid time off. The position is based in Redmond, WA, and requires the ability to work extended hours when needed and participate in an on-call rotation.

This is an ideal role for someone with a strong technical background who wants to be part of a mission-driven team working on technology that's literally changing the world. The position offers excellent growth potential and the opportunity to work on complex, meaningful problems at the forefront of space technology.
