Description For Sr. Electrical Design Engineer, Satellites (Starlink)

SpaceX, the pioneering space exploration company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for their revolutionary Starlink project - the world's largest satellite constellation providing high-speed internet to over 4.5M users globally. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge satellite technology, specifically focusing on the electrical systems that power these advanced spacecraft.

The position involves working with either the Avionics team, responsible for vehicle control systems and space lasers, or the Payload team, which develops industry-leading phased arrays and custom compute electronics. You'll have comprehensive ownership of hardware development from concept to implementation, including system design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and hardware troubleshooting.

This is an ideal role for an experienced electrical engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment and wants to contribute to SpaceX's ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars. You'll work with cutting-edge technology, collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines to solve complex challenges in satellite communications and spacecraft systems.

The role offers competitive compensation, including base salary, equity opportunities, and comprehensive benefits. You'll be part of a team that's literally changing the future of humanity, working on technology that's pushing the boundaries of what's possible in space exploration and global connectivity. The position requires ITAR compliance and the ability to work extended hours when needed, reflecting the mission-critical nature of SpaceX's work.
