Description For Sr. GNC Engineer (Starship)

SpaceX is seeking a Senior GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) Engineer to join their Starship program, working on the development of the world's most advanced rockets. Responsibilities For Sr. GNC Engineer (Starship)

  • Develop innovative guidance, navigation, and control systems for Starship
  • Engage in multi-disciplinary vehicle systems investigations and design work
  • Implement new software or algorithms for mission capabilities
  • Develop 6-DOF dynamics simulation models
  • Analyze launch vehicle trajectories and flight stability
  • Conduct post-flight data review
  • Support launch and mission operations
  • Perform testing of GNC software

Requirements For Sr. GNC Engineer (Starship)

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in physics or engineering discipline AND 5+ years of professional experience
  • Experience with control systems, orbital mechanics, classical dynamics, modeling, and simulation
  • Experience with Python or C++
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirement)
