Responsibilities For Sr. Mechanisms Engineer (Starship)

  • Design, analyze, and optimize crane structures and components
  • Plan and conduct testing and validation of new crane designs and modifications
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on crane design, operation, and maintenance
  • Lead or contribute to crane engineering projects from concept to completion
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues related to crane operation and maintenance
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in crane design, operation, and maintenance processes

Requirements For Sr. Mechanisms Engineer (Starship)

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, structural engineering, or other engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of experience with bridge cranes or mobile cranes
  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis, material properties, and mechanical principles related to crane design and operation
  • Proficiency in engineering software for structural analysis, such as CAD, FEA, and other relevant tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work at elevated heights
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee due to ITAR requirements
