Responsibilities For Sr. Power Electronics Engineer (Crew Starship)

  • Rapidly develop high reliability spacecraft electronics and systems for Crew Starship vehicles
  • Act as responsible engineer for flight hardware, from conception through build, qualification, and flight operations
  • Drive system and electrical architecture trades, product requirements, and component selection
  • Provide technical leadership across the organization and mentoring for junior engineers
  • Define validation approach and create development and qualification testing campaigns
  • Act as liaison with NASA counterparts
  • Act as primary point of contact with experts from other teams and departments

Requirements For Sr. Power Electronics Engineer (Crew Starship)

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • 5+ years of design experience designing power electronics
  • Experience with power conversion topologies
  • Proficiency with power stage component selection and analysis
  • Proficiency with filter design and control loop design
  • Experience with schematic capture and board layout
  • Proficiency with circuit simulation tools
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC specifications
  • Proficiency in MATLAB or Python
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
