Responsibilities For Sr. Propulsion Engineer, Systems Engineering (Raptor)

  • Own design, analysis, development, sequencing, and flight operations tasks for Raptor ignition and transients
  • Own hardware design and requirements, delivery of production, and reliable engine operation
  • Coordinate with peers and assign responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians from all disciplines
  • Identify and drive hardware design and sequence changes
  • Establish requirements for hardware and engine transients
  • Develop test requirements and participate in test operations
  • Perform data review of test and flight operations
  • Enable high launch cadence through automated analysis
  • Develop understanding of fluid and combustion transients

Requirements For Sr. Propulsion Engineer, Systems Engineering (Raptor)

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 1+ years experience with engineering programming and data review tools
  • 5+ years experience working with rocket or jet engine hardware
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Willing to travel for test and launch operations
  • Willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
