Responsibilities For Sr. Propulsion Engineer, Systems Engineering (Raptor)
- Own design, analysis, development, sequencing, and flight operations tasks for Raptor ignition and transients
- Own hardware design and requirements, delivery of production, and reliable engine operation
- Coordinate with peers and assign responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians from all disciplines
- Identify and drive hardware design and sequence changes
- Establish requirements for hardware and engine transients
- Develop test requirements and participate in test operations
- Perform data review of test and flight operations
- Enable high launch cadence through automated analysis
- Develop understanding of fluid and combustion transients
Requirements For Sr. Propulsion Engineer, Systems Engineering (Raptor)
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 1+ years experience with engineering programming and data review tools
- 5+ years experience working with rocket or jet engine hardware
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
- Willing to travel for test and launch operations
- Willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
