Description For Sr. RF Engineer, Customer Hardware (Starlink)

SpaceX, the pioneering space technology company, is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to join their Starlink team. This role is crucial in developing the world's most advanced broadband internet system, which currently serves over 4 million users globally. As a Starlink RF Engineer, you'll have full ownership of phased array, Wi-Fi, and RF systems for customer-facing hardware.

Responsibilities For Sr. RF Engineer, Customer Hardware (Starlink)

  • Design, fabricate and characterize prototypes of antennas, feed systems and RF front ends
  • Create electromagnetic simulation models of hardware
  • Work with EE, ME, DSP and software engineers to design and validate RF systems
  • Create and test phased array alignment solutions
  • Develop design validation and production test solutions
  • Write automation software in python for testing and documentation

Requirements For Sr. RF Engineer, Customer Hardware (Starlink)

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of professional RF experience with antennas or communication systems
  • 5+ years professional experience with radio test equipment
  • 5+ years of professional programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed
