Responsibilities For Structural Engineer, Launch Pad (Starship)

  • Lead project team, consulting engineers and contractors throughout engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning process
  • Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace projects
  • Perform civil and structural design and analysis calculations
  • Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts
  • Manage civil and structural aspects of construction projects
  • Provide direct onsite engineering inspections and field observations
  • Resolve design and construction conflicts in real-time

Requirements For Structural Engineer, Launch Pad (Starship)

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or other engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of professional experience in civil or structural design
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, NX, Solidworks or similar drafting programs
  • Knowledge of AISC steel manual, ACI code 318, ASCE 7, and IBC
  • Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
  • Ability to work in all environments and extended hours
  • Ability to work in hazardous conditions with PPE
