Responsibilities For Structural Engineer, Launch Pad (Starship)
- Lead project team, consulting engineers and contractors throughout structural engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning process
- Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace projects
- Perform structural design and analysis calculations for structural steel and concrete
- Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors
- Manage structural aspects of construction projects
- Provide direct onsite engineering inspections and field observations
- Resolve design and construction conflicts in real-time
Requirements For Structural Engineer, Launch Pad (Starship)
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or other engineering discipline
- 1+ years of professional experience in civil or structural design
- Ability to pass Air Force background check
- Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
- Experience with structural analysis software
- Knowledge of AISC steel manual, ACI code 318, ASCE 7, and IBC
- Ability to work in all environments and extended hours
- Strong ability to use data and analysis for decision-making
