Description For Structural Engineer (Starship)

SpaceX, the pioneering space exploration company, is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their Starship program in a role that directly contributes to humanity's journey to Mars. This position offers an extraordinary opportunity to be part of developing next-generation vertical integration facilities crucial for Starship's increasing launch cadence.

The role combines cutting-edge structural engineering with SpaceX's ambitious mission to make life multi-planetary. As a Structural Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of high-rise facilities that will support new vehicle builds and reflight refurbishment across various sites. This isn't just any structural engineering position – it's a chance to create the infrastructure that will enable human missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

You'll work on unique structures with few precedents, requiring innovative thinking and rapid iteration. The position demands a blend of technical expertise in structural engineering and practical construction knowledge, particularly in high-rise projects. You'll be involved in every phase, from conceptual design through construction completion, while managing multiple stakeholders and ensuring safety compliance.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $95,000 to $130,000 annually, complemented by extensive benefits including equity opportunities, comprehensive healthcare, and retirement plans. SpaceX offers a dynamic work environment where your contributions will directly impact the future of space exploration.

This role is ideal for someone who combines technical proficiency with a passion for space exploration, enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, and wants to be part of a team that's literally building the gateway to Mars. The position requires at least one year of experience, but the opportunity to grow and learn is boundless, much like space itself.
