Responsibilities For Supplier Development Engineer II, Mechanical Systems (Starlink)
- Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware
- Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers
- Support procurement team in strategic sourcing
- Create and define supplier technical and quality requirements
- Lead resolution of supplier quality issues
- Implement and monitor production part approval process (PPAP)
- Analyze supplier quality and delivery metrics
- Conduct research to identify potential new suppliers
- Drive product & process improvements
- Manage mission-critical supply chain relationships
- Lead projects and drive continuous improvement
Requirements For Supplier Development Engineer II, Mechanical Systems (Starlink)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 2+ years of industry experience in manufacturing/process engineering or mechanical engineering
- Valid driver's license
- Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements)
- Ability to travel 25-60% of work week
- Must be willing to work long hours and weekends when needed
